Cake Stands for wedding gifts and beyond

Cake stands are a great symbol of domesticity; they celebrate the creativity and hard work behind a well-made cake (or cookies, brownies, etc.), something often taken for granted.

When I was getting married, I really wanted a cake stand, and my mom graciously obliged.  Since I have been married, I haven't really made many cakes, so my stand has not been used nearly as much as I would like.

June is wedding month, and in celebration, I'm highlighting a few wedding gift and decor ideas...starting with cake stands!

  3. Thanks, Rachael! I like the poppy plate too! I like how it even has the poppy texture painted on.

ArtTales...I could totally see myself collecting cake stands (if I were a collector). I'm glad yours get plenty of use!

  5. Linda and Dave- I can totally see why these would be so popular! I have no clue what to do with my guest book, but a plate is so useful!
