This one of the favorite sets I have made and are perfect for Summer. As a teacher, my first graders and I usually adopt the school for a day and clean up around the playgroud and school by picking up trash and cleaning. We will read some books that talk about Earth Day and watch a video. The kids usually really enjoy this day!

ReplyDeleteI'm following, of course! Earth Day is a special day since I work at a transportation authority. "Dump the Pump" is something special we do on this day to encourage people to ride a bus-- just for the day-- to save gas money & stop polluting the air!

ReplyDeleteI didnt know you had two blogs! What a treat! I absolutely LOVE everything you are doing with shopping locally and promoting earth day!! I bought a book in the charity my bf and i volunteer at on sunday about Reusing and Recycling EVERYTHING! For crafts and all of the above... so I am making my housemates go through it and choose things they could do. They understand and have been very good dealing with the eco warrior ive turned into and accepted the changes in the shopping habbits. Im trying to convert 2 more people for the good of the earth!
