Scraptastic Giveaway

This giveaway is now closed.

My sewing room is not seen by anyone other than me and a few friends who are brave enough to venture up there.  I love having my own space, but the down side is it gets messy pretty easily.  I would so much rather sew than clean, but sometimes I need to just quit whining and do it.  Tonight I did just that.  I sorted through my scrap boxes, refolded my bigger pieces, and squeezed my yardage into one box.  I've got a nice little pile of fabric I know I need to let go of, and I even came across some really fabulous scraps that I thought some of you might like.

{This little pile includes fabrics from Heather Ross, Joel Dewberry, Amy Butler, Lizzy House, and Heather Bailey...just a few of my personal favorites!}

After seeing all of the gorgeous mini quilt's over at Amy's Mini Quilt Sew & Tell this weekend, I knew that these could find a good home fairly easily.  Not everyone is into scraps, and I totally get that, but if you want them, they could be yours!

Here is all the not-so-fine print:

I will leave the giveaway open through Friday, November 18 {in other words, the comments close when I get around to closing them some time Saturday morning}.  I will choose a random winner via some random method most likely involving my two year old.

Only one comment per person {no hoops to jump through this time}.  Please tell me how you sort/organize/store your scrap fabrics or what your would do with these if you win.

If you are a no-reply blogger, you must leave your email address in the comments so I can contact you!  {On that note, changing from a no-reply status is much better because then your email is only visible to the blog author where you leave your comment.  See here for more info.} I will email the winner, and if I have not heard back from you by Tuesday night {Nov. 22}, I will pick a new winner on Wedenesday.  {That's fair, right?}

Because this is self-sponsored, the scrap pack is only open to U.S. residents, but if you're an international reader, you can still enter and I will send you a surprise fat quarter :)

  1. Ooh, I think I may be the first person to comment! Fingers crossed for the win. But then I know you would hold me accountable to MAKING something with those wonderful scraps. Hmm. I think that would be a good thing...! :)

  3. Love your scraps - I'm making some little zippered pouches as Christmas presents for friends and those would work great! Organized quilter? I think that's an oxymoron! :)

  4. For the most part, my scraps are stored in four drawer plastic storage thing. Anything that has been cut recently is currently hanging out in a catch-all basket. I should organize my sewing room, but it takes so much planning and effort... I'm content with my mess, but would prefer if no one saw it! ;)

  5. My ideal would be to organize my scraps by color and in mason jars!! But for now... they're in zip-locks - haha. Thanks for the giveaway :)

  6. Oooo I see some of that butterfly fabric that I've admired in your Flickrstream!

    When I started quilting, I was into yardage, but over the past year I've discovered the inspiring power of scraps. It's partly because I'm building upb a healthy scrap-pile, and also the influence of suzuko Koseki's book Patchwork Style, which has amazing projects that use small pieces.

    I like making a little treasure go a long way, and using leftover pieces of my past projects. I have found it hard to work out how to store my scraps, but I've recently moved them for project-related zip-lock bags into bigger tubs, which are better for rummaging.

  7. My scraps are all in a plastic box with a lid. It's not pretty and they're not organized by colors or sizes so I'm not a good example :)
    I'm an international reader. Thank you for the chance!
